How does Cosmic Horror explore humanity’s search for the truth of existence? Ever since humanity's first conscious thoughts, we’ve pondered the reason for our existence, the meaning of why we are here on Earth. We have questioned whether our existence is meaningful, merely a drop in the universe, or whether there is something greater than us. 

Outerlight takes place in the distant future, after humanity has left Earth in search of a new home. In this pilot comic, readers follow the protagonists as they confront the unknown and question whether humanity can survive. Rooted in cosmic horror, the story emphasizes human insignificance within a vast, indifferent universe. Through the eyes of Captain Spacey, readers witness how human desire, hope, and willpower clash against cosmic forces that render morality and meaning insignificant. As an unknowable entity emerges from the dark, the colony must grapple not only with survival but with the terrifying possibility that there is no grand design waiting for them at the end of their journey.  

Through Outerlight, visual narrative and science-fiction storytelling place readers alongside humanity as it searches for meaning in a universe that offers no clear answers. This project invites reflection on whether truth and belonging are inherent or constructed in the face of insignificance.
